THE GOW JOB

Scrounging through my parts, I discovered some nice things, I had a NOS WLA frame that Buchannan had raked to 34 degrees for me, some years before.  He had also extended a new WLA springer to XA dimensions.  Digging deeper, I uncovered a fresh WLD engine and a fresh WL tranny, both completely built with NOS parts.  The cylinders were bored .125 over and fitted with Indian Scout pistons.  I bought some PM wire wheels and brakes, bolted it all together, and I had a brand new WLD.  The only used parts were a 1936 EL oil bag, a pair of WR gas tanks and a Hummer seat.  So, in the year 2001 I had a “new” 1939 WLD, that almost duplicated my1951 “Cement Mixer”.
